Fully vaccinated passengers, and those with prior infection of COVID-19, need to present a negative Covid 19 test which can be either a PCR test or Rapid Antigen test.
We would like to inform you of current entry restrictions in Iceland.
Rules for travellers without a network in Iceland: Vaccinated passengers, and those with prior infection of COVID-19, need to present a negative covid-19 test either a PCR or Rapid antigen test. NB. self-tests are not accepted. The test must have been taken within 72 hours before departure on the first leg of the journey. A fine for not presenting a negative COVID-19 test at the border is 100.000 ISK.
Passengers vaccinated against COVID-19, or recovered from it
From July 27, passengers who can show a certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 or a certificate for previous COVID-19 infection:
- Must present negative COVID-19 results from a PCR or rapid antigen test, taken within 72 hours of departure, to be allowed to board the aircraft.
- Are not required to undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival in Iceland.
Other passengers
All other passengers traveling to Iceland by air:
- Must present negative COVID-19 results from a PCR test, taken within 72 hours of departure, to be allowed to board the aircraft.
- Are required to undergo a double COVID-19 testing procedure along with quarantine for 5 days? Passengers who must quarantine upon arrival in Iceland are not allowed to travel on domestic flights.
Children born 2005 or later do not have to undergo COVID-19 test or present a negative PCR test upon arrival.
