Our Iceland Fly-Drive Holidays Packages include round-trip airfare, vehicle rental, and accommodations at various hotels, apartments, or self-catering villas. Vehicle choices range from small compact cars and 4-door saloon sedan cars to larger cars, as well as 4x4 vehicles.

We do recommend selecting a 4x4 vehicle if you plan to see some of Iceland’s more remote areas, as the roads to reach these sights require a 4x4 vehicle since you will be driving on unpaved roads.

We can also arrange a 4x4 vehicle with camper if you are more adventurous and want to enjoy spending time outdoors for a truly immersive holiday vacation in Iceland. Imagine waking up to breathtaking sunrises or falling asleep under the evening sky!

Please note you will need a valid driver’s licence and credit card when renting a vehicle. All vehicle rentals include CDW insurance. You can also choose other optional insurance coverage for an additional fee.

Where Will I Get My Rental Vehicle to Start My Fly-Drive Iceland Holiday?

Some people like to arrive, then spend a day or two exploring Reykjavik before starting their self-guided driving tour of Iceland. Other people want to start their self-guided tour right away. Iceland Holidays will make arrangements so you can pick up your rental vehicle at the airport or a nearby resort that best works with your holiday plans.

At the conclusion of your fly-drive Iceland holiday, you will return the rental to the location where you picked it up. We can make arrangements if you wish to drop the rental off at a different location. However, there is an additional one-way drop-off fee.
