This journey will take you across South Iceland in a week encompassing Reykjavik then reach out west to Snafeallsnes before switching back to the Golden Circle and on to the stupendous sights of the south East coast to Skaftafell and Vik. Get a breather with a relaxing bath on the last day in the Blue Lagoon phew !

Day 1: Arrive in Iceland
Fly in from your chosen UK airport and land safely at Keflavik.
Pick up your car hire from the airport and drive to your Reykjavik hotel. Take the afternoon to explore the capital and enjoy some tasty Icelandic food for dinner.
Stay overnight at Aurora Hotel Laxnes.
Day 2: Snaefellsnes
Drive west towards Snafeallsnes and take in the unique scenery heading toward's the small town of Varmaland. Attractions such as the hot spring's of Deildartunguhver, Krauma baths and Hraunfossar waterfalls are only few minutes away from Hotel Varmaland where you will be staying, and the Ice cave at Langjökull Glacier and the Lava cave are within 1 hour's drive away from the hotel. Hiking, cycling and horse riding can be enjoyed in the surroundings and Varmalands local swimming pool is a 2 min walk.

Day 3: Whale Watching
Experience the wonder of whale watching from Olafsvik. But don't forget there's so much more to explore on the Snaefelsness Peninsula. Vist Kirkjufell the most photographed mountain in Iceland and the small town of Hellissandur is the street art capital of Iceland with huge murals on the building's.

Day 4: Golden Circle
Drive towards the Golden Circle and explore the area. Combining history, culture and extraordinary nature, you can see Thingvellir National Park and walk among the geological wonders of the fissure zone and in the footsteps of the early Viking settlers where the Althingi parliament was founded. You can then see the Gullfoss and feel the mist of glacial water as it cascades down one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls. Finally, you can witness the Geysirand hear the bubbling of the mud pots, smell the sulfur in the air and watch in awe as the geyser Strokkur blasts boiling water into the air.

Day 5: Skaftafell
Today drive east to Skaftafell where you can check into your hotel. Skaftafell hotel is in a national park and is a 10 minute drive to Vatnajokull national park there is also a visitor's centre. There is plenty to see and do here short and easy trails lead to the waterfall Svartifoss and glacier Skaftafellsjökull. Perhap's you would like to hike a glacier with one of the tour companies or take a guided hike?

Day 6: Vik
Leave Skaftafell and head to the village of Vik from here you can explore the black sand's beach, and Vikurkirkja the pretty church at Vik. Don't forget to check out the huge waterfall's of Seljalandsfoss, which in summer you can walk around the back of and the mighty Skógafoss. You can even experience a zip line adventure with an easy hike if you wish to book a different kind of tour!

Day 7: The Blue Lagoon
Today you will be driving west toward's hotel Vogar, from here you can visit the Blue Lagoon or perhaps you would like to book a buggy tour, horse riding or even a hiking tour. If you would like to visit the newly formed Lava in Geldingadalur by Fagradalsfjall which erupted last year and was the first volcanic eruption in 800 years on the Reykjanes Peninsula then you can also book on a tour of this area to.

Day 8: Fly Home
Drive back to Keflavik Airport return your car and check in for your return flight home.
