What you'll do

Day 1: Arrive in Iceland

Fly in from your chosen UK airport and land safely at Keflavik.

Get collected from the airport and transferred to your Reykjavik hotel

Take the afternoon to explore the capital and enjoy some tasty Icelandic food for dinner

Stay overnight at your Reykjavik hotel

Day 2: Reykjavik Sightseeing

Morning sightseeing city tour in Reykjavik from 9am-12pm.  You will learn about the rich history and culture that shaped Iceland by visiting the prime landmarks and attractions in and around the capital city. Sit back and enjoy educational commentary, interesting facts, and stories that relate to the most important locations in and around Reykjavik.

Afternoon internal flight departs 15:00 from Reykjavik to Akureyri. Check in to hotel in Akureyri for 5 nights

Day 3: Classic Diamond Circle Tour

Be escorted on the Classic Diamond Circle full day tour.  This tour includes several popular sights in North Iceland including Waterfall Godafoss, Waterfall Dettifoss, The Glacial Canyon and Husaviklt. t is said that after seeing Dettifoss, europe's most powerful waterfall, up close and personal you will never be the same. Where it domains over its surroundings and bears signs of the force possessed within mother nature.

Day 4: Whale Watching

Today you will go on the Husavik Original Whale Watching Tour. This tour allows you to experience the moment of seeing whales in their natural habitat which is something every person should put on their agenda. You will have sufficient time to visit the Whale Museum, explore Húsavík and enjoy the charming harbour area before returning to Akureyri.

Day 5: Lake Myvatn Tour

Be collected for the Lake Myvatn Classic Tour. Enjoy an amazing journey through area of extreme contrasts, bird life, flora, geothermal activity, geology and saga. The Lake Myvatn area is by many considered the most beautiful and at the same time the most catastrophic place in Iceland.

Day 6: Explore Akureyri 

Enjoy a day at Leisure in Akureyri or book an optional day tour from the following at an extra cost: Superjeep Askja, Cave Exploration of Lofthellir,  Exclusive Art and Design Walk, Volcanic and Ice Cave Expedition, Horseback Riding, Local Food and Gourmet tour, River Rafting and a Snowmobile tour,

Day 7: Explore Reykjavik

Catch an internal flight from Akureyri back to Reykjavik

Stay overnight in Reykjavik

Day 8: Fly Home

Get collected from your hotel and taken back to Keflavik airport

Fly back to the UK

It is possible to add a Blue Lagoon tour to the morning of Day 8 at an extra cost.
