Day 2: Reykjavik Sightseeing & Whale Watching

Enjoy a Reykjavik sightseeing tour in the morning. You will learn about the rich history and culture that shaped Iceland by visiting the prime landmarks and attractions in and around the capital city. Sit back and enjoy educational commentary, interesting facts, and stories that relate to the most important locations in and around Reykjavik.

In the afternoon you will be escorted on a Whale Watching tour. Abundant summer daylight combined with a unique mixture of cold and warm sea currents that blend in Iceland's shallow fjords make the Icelandic territorial waters home to a rich variety of krill and fish, and consequently a bountiful feeding ground that attracts twenty-three species of whales.

Day 3: The Golden Circle

Enjoy a whole day of exploring the Golden Circle with our Classic Golden Circle tour.  It’s a classic for good reason. Combining history, culture and extraordinary nature, you will see Thingvellir National Park and walk among the geological wonders of the fissure zone and in the footsteps of the early Viking settlers where the Althingi parliament was founded. You will then be taken to Gullfoss and feel the mist of glacial water as it cascades down one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls.  Finally, you will witness the Geysir and hear the bubbling of the mud pots, smell the sulfur in the air and watch in awe as the geyser Strokkur blasts boiling water into the air.

Stay overnight at your Reykjavik hotel

Day 4: Wonders of Snaefellsnes or Fontana Steam Baths and Northern Lights

If you are visiting during the summer, today you will be taken on the Wonders of Snaefellsnes tour.  The Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland is almost a miniature version of the island. In addition to its characteristic Snæfellsjökull glacier, there are black sandy beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters. On this tour, we will stop at the small fishing village Arnarstapi, the ancient fishing village Hellnar, visit Djúpalónssandur beach and pass by the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. The stunning landscape of the peninsula has captured the imagination of people all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction novel "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" but the journey begins at Snæfellsjökull glacier.

If you are visiting during the winter, you will be taken on the Fontana Steam Baths and Northern Lights tour.  This is the perfect tour choice for those travellers looking to see the Northern Lights, but without having to stand around waiting in the cold Icelandic wilderness. The Northern lights are as unique and inspiring as Iceland itself: at first, they appear softly, perhaps as undulating streaks of teal, mint green or pure white, or maybe great, leaping bands of violet and magenta splashed across the starry night sky. Take in this shocking, stirring display from the comfort of the geothermal baths at Laugarvatn Fontana. Laugarvatn Fontana is designed to offer the luxury and convenience of its various steam rooms, mineral baths and Fininsh-style sauna, while never distracting you from the natural beauty of its surrounding environment.

Day 5: South Shore Adventure

Get collected from your hotel for the South Shore Adventure tour.  The South Shore Adventure tour is ideal for nature lovers of all kinds. We take you along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country’s most scenic regions, as far as Vík, a charming village surrounded by high beautiful bird cliffs.

Among the stops on this tour are at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss is part of the Seljandsá river, which has its origins in Eyjafjallajökull glacier. What makes Seljalandsfoss so famous and interesting is that you can walk behind it. Skógafoss, another famous Icelandic waterfall, is the starting point of the Fimmvörðuháls walk over to Þórsmörk. We will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt and Sólheimajökull and walk up to a small lake which has formed in front of the retreating glacier.

Stay overnight at your Reykjavik hotel

Day 6: The Blue Lagoon

Get collected from your hotel and taken to the world famous Blue Lagoon spa in Iceland. Home to one of 25 wonders of the world, Blue Lagoon Iceland is a place where the powers of geothermal seawater create transformational spa journeys.  Take the time to experience the radiant powers of the water, indulge in a silica mud mask and forget all of your worries.

Stay overnight at your Reykjavik hotel

Day 7: Volcano Hike

For your last full day you'll be whisked away on an once in a lifetime Volcano hike on a real active volcano. This first eruption in the Reykjanes Peninsula in about 800 years provides a unique opportunity to study the geologic mysteries of the region and is open for all to enjoy! We offer a guided tour to the volcanic eruption in Geldingadalur, known as Fagradalsfjall Volcano. The driver and guide will take the group to the start of the hiking route towards the volcano in Geldingadalur. The hike will take approximately 1.5 hours each way.
