Fly in from your chosen UK airport and land safely at Keflavik.
Stay in Reykjavik and enjoy this wonderful city there's plenty to see and do. Explore the old town and it's museums or take a whale watching tour, perhaps you would like to visit the Perlan and experience one of the best views of Reykjavik.

Day 3: The Golden Circle
Drive towards the Golden Circle and explore the area. Combining history, culture and extraordinary nature, you can see Thingvellir National Park and walk among the geological wonders of the fissure zone and in the footsteps of the early Viking settlers where the Althingi parliament was founded. You can then see the Gullfoss and feel the mist of glacial water as it cascades down one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls. Finally, you can witness the Geysir and hear the bubbling of the mud pots, smell the sulphur in the air and watch in awe as the geyser Strokkur blasts boiling water into the air.

Day 4: Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Today you will be heading west towards the Snaefellsnes peninsula, take your time to drive this route and explore the wonderful scenery in Iceland's own national park, Snæfellsjökull. Don't forget to stop and look at the most photographed mountain in Iceland Kirkjufell.

Day 5: Akureyri
Drive northeast towards Akureyri known as they capital of the north. Akureyri is the gateway to the north's spectacular beauty, most notably the Myvatn region, Dettifoss waterfall, Godafoss waterfall, and Asbyrgi canyon, which can all be visited on day trips from Akureyri. You could, for example, go on and see Myvatn and Grjotagja hot springs where you get the chance to bathe at Myvatn Nature Baths at the end of an eventful day.

Day 6: Husavik
An easier drive towards Husavik, known as the whale capital of Iceland so it's no surprise that this is what you will be experiencing today. You can also visit the whale museum or go to the GeoSea sea baths which enable you to enjoy nature in a unique manner. Thanks to the underground heat, the seawater in the baths is warm and comfortable and the mineral-rich, you can enjoy the view of the mountain range to the west, Skjálfandi Bay beneath the cliffs and the Arctic Circle itself on the horizon. Day 7: East Iceland
Continue your drive toward east Iceland and relax at the hotel Lake and Spa. The scenery here is beautiful and the pace of life relaxed, there are many walking trails you can take and don't forget to look out for the Lake monster while you are there!
Day 8: Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
Continue your drive towards the Foss Hotel Glacier Lagoon which is located between two of Iceland's most spectacular natural attractions, Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Skaftafell is a wilderness area in Iceland's Vatnajökull National Park where there are trails to explore, glaciers to see and the famous Svartifoss waterfall to visit. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon boarders the Vatnajökull National Park its blue waters are dotted with icebergs and leave chucks of ice on the black sand beach.

Day 9: South Coast
Drive the south coast ring road and enjoy the the scenery as you go. From the Hotel Kria you can explore the south coast area including the town of Vik, the black sand beach with the basalt columns and the famous Skógafoss Waterfall.

Day 10: Reykjanes Peninsula
You last day of driving, today you head toward the the Reykjanes Peninsula and the town of Keflavik. From here you can visit the Blue Lagoon or explore the Penisula its self, the landscape is diverse with craters, caves, lava fields and high geothermal activity and is a part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks family. The peninsula exist's where the North Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean and is the only place on earth where it is visible and a symbolic bridge "The bridge between two continents" has been built.

Day 11: Fly Home
Head towards Keflavik airport, drop off your car and fly home.
