The planned boat trips for 2022 are a NEW, one hour guided experience with two stops: the beluga whale sanctuary in Klettsvik bay and a nearby island puffin colony! The combo also includes admission to the Visitor Centre, including puffin rescue centre!
These tours begin at 13:00 daily and are subject to weather and minimum participation requirements.
The boat trips last approximately 1 hour and are guided by staff from our partners at Ribsafari, with time for Q&A with the Beluga Whale Sanctuary staff.
Boat Trips are currently scheduled to begin May 15, 2022 to allow Little White and Little Grey time to settle back into their sea sanctuary upon their return.
Boat Trips are not available June 8-11, 22-25 and during Þjohatið Music Festival July 30 to August 1 due to private bookings.
This tour is most suitable for self drive itineraries as a drive of 2 hours from Reykjavik to the ferry at Landeyjahöfn is required. (The ferry is an additional price to the Beluga tour.)
