Tour Itinerary

Leaving from the Whale Safari ticket office by Reykjavik's Old Harbour, this whale watching tour takes you out on a fast, stable and safe, RIB boat to watch whales, dolphins, and sea birds of Faxaflói bay. 

The islands off the coast of Reykjavik are teaming with bird life, including the colourful Puffin, cormorants, and various types of gulls which makes it the perfect area to start the adventure.

From bird watching the incredibly fast RIB boats sets out to Faxaflói bay in search of whales and dolphins. RIB boats can cover more area in search for whales and wild life than traditional boats which increases your chances of spotting whales, dolphins, and sea birds.The Most common sights include dolphins, humpback whales, and killer whales.

Heading back from the Whale safari the tour takes you sightseeing along Reykjavík's coast line that offers the opportunity for some great photos such as the Sun Voyager sculpture and a side view of Iceland´s most famous building, the glittering Harpa Concert Hall.
